ANIMA
About me
Textile craftsman, plastic artist and collagist, i have been embroidering since my childhood in a self-taught way. Expressing my ideas mainly through the thread and the needle, i experiment by integrating different ethnic techniques. My travels experiences and my education in Art History of Non-European Civilizations has forged me a curiosity and a fertile imagination of expression. Also, my interest and my practices in energetic healing and shamanism have led me for several years to explore the invisible worlds and visionary abstraction as well as symbolism, ritual and clan systems. Traditional, folkloric and artisanal apparels has always aroused my curiosity.
As an activist of Transition and a hosting Heart, it seems essential to me to create Magic. I have the need to express the living, the connection, the reliance, the inner memory, the roots .
PERSONA are inhabited colourful creatures, spirits, entities caracterised by their stories, legends, abilities and symbols. The Mask thema follows me since my early age, being born in a culture nourished by the tradition of carnival.
ANIMA are connected to the feminine energy that i trace and embroider in the materiality of the world. Those works are directly linked to my personal story and synchronicities.
