SORTIE DE SECOURS - LIFE VEST

This artefact is a diversion, a symbol, a cry, a memory. Its plastic device says it all. No relic, no divinatory object, no rescue gadget. It is the root history, the impregnation of a tradition, of a cellular affiliation. There are things that cannot be amputated. We are cut to the roots, we are dispossessed of ourselves, despite everything we leave traces that disturb and hustle. They want to erase us, yet there is always memory. In this suffocating and viscous abyss it is enough to keep a point of light to remember that it exists. Adorned with keys of knowledge, “The jacket of life”, a symbol of survival, becomes a traditional, ceremonial costume, produced in conscience step by step.
